Extraordinarily secure and surprisingly convinient.

Most “encrypted” platforms, even those using AES-256 to encrypt data, are fundementally flawed because they control access to your data. If someone breaches a server or steals encryption keys, your files can be exposed because they hold the key. Livingwell is different — our end-to-end encryption is unbreakable in practice because you hold the key, making it impossible for us, hackers, or anyone else to read your files.

Fully compliant with HIPAA, EU GDPR, CCPA Ready, NIS2.
The encryption mechanism is continuously maintained to ensure algorithms remain up to date with current standards, including post-quantum security.
When logging in, the iOS key manager app securely maintains your encryption key. It is stored with on-device encryption and is not directly linked to your account.

Simple key management.

To make privacy seamless, we built a companion iOS app that securely creates and stores your encryption identity. Instead of relying on a browser alone, the app keeps your keys in a safe, encrypted space that only you control.

It integrates directly with Livingwell — letting you sign in by scanning your key, or back it up privately as a PDF for safekeeping.

Read about our security and safety measures:

First off, we do not harvest or sell your data. Livingwell is a subscription-based service and does not link third-parties to our site for advertising. To see how account metadata (like your name, email, or phone number) may be used, read our Privacy Policy.

End-to-end encryption (E2EE).

Your notes, files, and credentials are fully end-to-end encrypted. Only your device can decrypt them — our servers only hold scrambled data. File titles and names are not encrypted for performance reasons, but the contents always are. A persistent encryption identity is stored locally on your device to make login seamless. You can delete it anytime, either by logging out or clearing browser data.

General account security.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is supported via any standard authenticator app. We recommend enabling it immediately after creating your account. For extra safety, every login automatically triggers an email alert to your registered address.

Digital executor contracts.

When you designate a digital executor, Livingwell generates a contract between the two parties. It is recommended that both parties keep a physical copy of it and file it with their will (if applicable). Please read the "Services" section of our Terms of Service for more information about this process.
